Unfortunately, not all phones support Android specification correctly.
While users of G1, Magic and other great Android phones are really happy to use this application (and voting 5 stars on Market!), other people with HTC Hero cannot use this application at all!
This kind of applications can not be run on those devices because of kown Android firmware bug: phone's accelerometer is not working while screen is off.
That's why Smart Alarm Clock cannot track your sleep cycles and works just as an old, ordinary alarm clock.

What does it mean - limited support?
- Activity charts will be mostly empty.
- About 30 minutes before alarm time, display backlight will be turned on to grab some movements, so please keep the phone charged.
- Tracking might be not so accurate as you expect it to be.
Please understand that developers cannot change this - the problem is caused by phone manufacturers and can be solved with firmware update. Please ask your phone's manufacturer to fix this instead of posting negative comments on the market.
Workaround for HTC Phones
You can go into settings, application settings, hit debug options and there's an option which prevents the screen from sleeping when the USB cable is attached.
Anyway, most people will have their USB cable on while asleep.
When using this, the software just continues monitoring. The downside is that your screen is on, unfortunately. I've found that when you lay the phone upside down and right next to your pilow, you don't even see the light from the screen as it does dim a fair bit. Not ideal, but it works for many people.
You can help us to solve this issue!
- Open the page with the bug and login with your Google account
- Click on the star near the title

That's all! If many people vote for that, Google will spend more effort sloving the issue (but please don't leave "+1" comments because it spams others.)
Thank you for understanding
